FOCUS & INTENT
Is
where we set the focus and intent of the practice. Example:
"Today’s class will focus on the feet in order to enhance the
sensation of stability in the body." The students are encouraged to
personalize it to fit their specific needs.

STEPPING IN
Step
Into the Nia circle - "Create the Space to Workout" Students are
encouraged to leave behind all distractions, prepare physically, mentally,
emotionally by stepping into the circle and getting ready to work out.

WARM UP
Warm
up movements
4
GET MOVING
Cardiovascular
section; to energize, stimulate the heart & lungs and condition the
body.

COOL DOWN
Slow
down to re-center, balance, and harmonize the body, mind, emotions, and
prepare to move on the floor.

FLOOR PLAY
Stretching
& strengthening movements (usually yoga moves), take advantage of the
heat and pliability generated from the previous movements.
7
STEPPING OUT
Step
out of the Nia practice and into the day. Consciously recognizing through
body sensation the self-healing and fitness benefits received.
